When to apply the Spring Renovation & Overseed Kit

The best time to apply this kit is after the Winter frost has gone, during early Spring. Optimum conditions are when the air temperature is above 8 degrees, a bit of rain is forecast and sunny intervals are present. Rain, sun and warmth together will help the seed to germinate faster and the fertiliser work it’s magic in the soil.

This weather usually comes around in late Feb and stays until early June. You can also apply the products in Summer, but it may take longer to germinate if there’s less rain and temperatures above 20 degrees.

How to Apply the Spring Renovation & Overseed Kit

Full, step-by-step instructions come with every product that’s listed above on it’s packet. Below is a summary of how to apply each one.

The moss killer iron sulphate must be mixed with water at 4g per m2 and applied with a watering can or knapsack sprayer

The signature spring & Summer lawn feed is best applied with a broadcast spreader but can also be applied straight out of the bag for smaller lawns. Drop spreaders can be used to apply the feed also.

The grass seed is best applied with a spreader but can be applied by hand or straight out of the bag if you wish.

The liquid seaweed should be mixed with water and appleid using a watering can or knapsack sprayer depending on the size of your lawn.
